Ghost Pirates Video Slot Instructions

Ghost Pirates is a Pirate themed slot machine with a twist on the ordinary online slot machines that you will find everywhere these days. The big difference has to do with how you bet on multiple paylines. There is a special category on the bottom left portion of the screen that says "Bet Ways". Here is how that works:

For most online slots, you will get an option to choose between 30 payline at most. Each payline is a path across the reels that the symbols on the reels need to line up on in order to win on your bet. You would normally get to choose to decrease the number of paylines you want to bet on one at a time.

The Bet Ways are the number of reels that you would like to bet on. The middle row is always active and can always be won if a payline hits. If you only bet 1 coin, you will only have 3 paylines that can possibly win on the spin as the first reel is completely open to winning paylines (see picture below).

In order to activate the 2nd reel, you must bet 3 coins and you will have 9 possible paylines to win on. Bet 8 coins and the 3rd reel will open up for play with 27 possible ways to win. The 4th reel will cost you 15 coins per spin, but you jump up to 81 paylines that are available; and if you would like to have all 243 possible paylines to play, you will need to bet 25 coins per spin.

Before you spin, make sure to check the following:

What Coin Value do you want?

The coin value is the amount you would like to bet  0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20 and 0.50. On max level 1 bet, this is between 0.25 and 12.5 from your Cash.

What Bet Level do you want?

Bet levels go between 1 and 5. Each betting level is a multiple of the total bet (coin value multiplied by Bet Ways coins)

After that, all you have to do is press the circular button in the middle to spin the reels. If you press the Max Bet button, you will automatically bet the 25 coins for the 243 Bet Ways.

Mega Fortune Paytables

So the big question that I first had about this game is "Why would I want to bet 25 coins in order to bet on all possible lines?" Let's face it, how often will a spin match up icons on all 5 of the reels. Not that often, no matter how many payline options you have available.

I started playing the 15 coins it cost to play the 81 lines, but then I looked at the paytables for Ghost Pirates and saw something I didn't immediately notice. You will get a bonus when you bet the maximum 243 paylines if you win on a payline for one of the symbols shown in the picture above. You will also get 5 additional free spins if you trigger the feature with a Max Bet.

There are also 5 symbols that aren't shown above including a Wild pirate symbol and other icons with names on them. These are not affected by the amount that you bet on the reels.

Free Spins and Bonus Round

In order to get Free Spins, you must get at least 3 scatter symbols. The scatter symbol is a Treasure Chest that says Scatter on it. What makes a the scatter special is that if you get two or more of them anywhere on the screen, you automatically win at least twice your total bet for the spin.

Unlike the Mega Fortune, which I featured here before, there is no Bonus feature included with this slot machine.
