French Roulette Instructions
Here is the traditional roulette table that you would see if you played at a casino in Monte Carlo. Roulette actually means "little wheel" in French. The general rules are the same as European Roulette; however, the roulette table is set up a bit differently.
The inside bets (bets placed on one or more numbers on the roulette table) will all be the exact same. The outside bets (bets not directly placed on a number) haven't changed either, but these bets are set up differently.
I've created the picture on the right so that the roulette table is turned upright. This will make it easier to explain these bets. You can also hover over the bet with your mouse to see:
PMD - This is at the bottom of the French Roulette table. P stands for First Dozen, M stands for Second Dozen and D stands for Third Dozen. There is also a corresponding DMP betting area on the opposite side of the table.
In-between these two betting areas are the Left, Middle and Right columns. This is why I made the picture look like this; it is easier to see which column is left and right.
Black (Noir) and Red (Rouge) - These are the traditional bet on Black or Red numbers. There is a colored Diamond instead of the words Red or Black.
Evens (Pair) and Odds (Impair) - These are the traditional bet on Even or Odd numbers.
1-18 (Manque) and 19-36 (Passe) - These are the traditional bets on High or Low numbers.
One of the things that I really like about this French Roulette game is the number tracker that displays the Hot and Cold Numbers. This will show you how often the Odd/Even/Zero or Red/Black/Zero has won.
