American Roulette Instructions

The first thing you must do before anything else is to set your bet size. To do this, click on one of the four chips sizes at the bottom to add to your bet, or click on the bet right below the Roulette wheel to remove chips from your bet.

From there, you can make that bet anywhere on the table. One of the great features of this game is that the numbers that you are betting on will light up so that there is no confusion on what you are betting.

You are only allowed to bet a maximum of $250 on one spin. If you would like to remove a bet from the table, first press the Remove button to highlight it, then click on the chips on that bet to remove them. Once your done, press the Remove button again to unselect it. If you want to remove all of the chips, click the Clear All button.

Once you are done betting, press the Spin button to start a new spin. You will see the ball travel around the roulette wheel several times and fall into one of the 38 different spots. The roulette marker will come down on the number on the table where the ball landed. Any winnings will be paid and the bets will be left on the table. Any losing bets will be taken away. You can repeat your last bet by pressing the Repeat button.

American Roulette Strategy

The first thing you need to know is what make American roulette unique. Many people have probably only played the American version, which has both a 0 and 00 spot on the wheel. This one spot actually give the house twice the advantage over you than a European or French roulette wheel, which only have the 0.

The house advantage in American Roulette is 5.4%. The only reason that the house has any advantage is because of the Zeros on the board. They represent a losing bet for any other bet not directly placed on a Zero.

Now when it comes to betting in roulette, the easiest way to do this is determine what kind of odds you would like to take and how much risk there is in your total bet. If you are going to put down a $100 bet on a spin, you might want to make sure that you put at least $2 on the spot between 0 and 00 to prevent a catastrophic loss if one of those two should occur.

Beyond that, remember the odds you are getting:

• Bets placed on a single number get 35 to 1 payout, although your chance of winning is only 2.65%
• Bets placed on two numbers will get 17 to 1 payout, your chance of winning this bet is 5.25%
• Bets placed on three numbers will get 11 to 1 odds on a payout, chance of winning the bet is 7.9%
• Betting on four numbers will win you 8 to 1 on your bet, your chance of winning is 10.5%
• Betting on six numbers will payout at 5 to 1 on your bet, your chance of winning is15.8%
• Bets placed on twelve numbers (1/3 of board) pays out2 to 1, chance of winning is 31.6%
• Bets placed on eighteen numbers (half of board) pays even money, chance of winning is47.4%

The chance that the ball will land on 0 or 00 is 5.25% or about once in every 19 rolls.

If you are planning on making multiple bets on the table, I would try to spread the bets out so that the 1 to 1 and 2 to 1 bets get the majority of the total bet. Then use the rest of your bet for your favorite numbers or try to cover some multiple number combos on the board.
