Blackjack Surrender Instructions
Most online casinos do not offer surrendering in their blackjack games. Surrendering is the option to give up half of your bet when you are in a bad situation.
There is Early Surrender and Late Surrender, however, you will never see Early Surrender offered online. Early Surrender means that you can surrender before the dealer checks for blackjack. Late Surrender, the type offered here, means that the dealer will check for blackjack (and turn it over for the win) before you have the option to surrender.
This game has European Blackjack rules. That means that the Dealer will Stand on Soft 17, you can double down on any two cards, and you are only allow to split 1 time.
When Should I Surrender?
You should surrender when you have a 16 and the dealer is showing a 9, 10 or Ace. If you have 15, you should surrender when the dealer is showing a 10 or an ace. The only other time that you should surrender is when you have 17 and the dealer is showing an Ace. In all other situations, you should hit until 17 or more.
