Punto Banco - Free Gambling Games
Punto Banco Introduction
Punto Banco is the most popular form of baccarat. This is the game that is played in the United States, Macau, Canada and Australia. The word baccarat means zero in both French and Italian. The rules are going to be almost exactly the same as the ones on the baccarat game.
There are three main variations of Baccarat: punto banco, baccarat chemin de fer and baccarat banque. The other two versions of baccarat are played more often in France and Italy and are not found in many online casinos. I have been trying to find a free flash game for Baccarat Chemin de fer and Baccarat Banque, but I have not found these games yet.
Punto Banco Instructions
The first thing you must do is select a chip size (1, 5, 10, 25 or 100) by clicking on the chip in the lower left corner of the screen. Then, click on one of the three spots on the board: Punto, Banco or Tie.
When you are finished betting, click the Deal button. If you want to change your bet, click the Clear button.
This is the only action that is required from you. The cards will be dealt to the Punto and Banco. Based upon the cards, the Punto, Banco or both may take another card. the object is to have the higher score with 9 being the highest score.
If you are betting on the Punto, you will win 100% on your bet if the Punto's score is higher. If you are betting on the Banco, you will win 95% of your bet if the Banco's score is higher. This 5% is commission for the banco. This is because the Banco draws last and has a slightly high chance of beating the Punto.
If you bet on Tie, the Punto and Banco must receive the same score in order to win. You will receive 8 to 1 for winning a Tie bet. However, the Punto and Banco bets will be pushed in the event of a Tie.
How Punto Banco is Played
This part is going to be the exact same as the Baccarat game. However, I will list them again because I don't want you to have to go back to view these rules.
- Above all else, if either the dealer or player are dealt an
8 or 9
to start, then it is called a
Natural 8 or 9 and the game is
over.
- The player must draw
a card if his cards add up to
5 or less. The
player must stand
if the cards add up to 6
or 7.
- If the player stands with 6
or 7, then the banker must take
a card if the cards add up to 5
or less.
- The dealer will always hit if the first two cards add up to 2 or less and will always stand with a total of 7.
The next group here explains what the dealer will do if the player takes a third card.
- If the player has a total of 8, the dealer can only take a card if he has 2 or less.
- If the player has a total of 0, 1 or 9, the dealer can only take a card if he has 3 or less.
- If the player has a total of 2 or 3, the dealer can only take a card if he has 4 or less.
- If the player has a total of 4 or 5, the dealer can only take a card if he has 5 or less.
- If the player has a total of 6 or 7, the dealer can only take a card if he has 6 or less.
